Program description: Pope St. John XXIII changed forever the relations between Christians and Jews. This program looks at the remarkable man, Angelo Roncalli, his diplomatic work during World War II that included rescuing thousands of Jews, and his leadership as Pope (1958-63) to address the religious roots of anti-Semitism.  Remembered as a great peacemaker by Catholics and Jews alike, "Good Pope John" was called by the Chief Rabbi of Buenos Aires "a man truly created in the image of God."
