Ella Brown Clark

African-Ameican Ella Brown Clark was born in Orlando on November 9, 1893. Interviewed on May 22, 1975.  We are grateful for the Orange County Regional History Centers making this recording available for Orlando Memory.

Part 1: Ella of her family and family life; Grandparents born in slavery; one grandfather was a coachman, and grandmother was a midwife and they were well cared for by their separate  owners.  Her sister (Angeline?) died in her 20s from pellagra.
