Joseph J. Cangelose, Staff Sergeant at Orlando’s Army Air Base

November 3rd, 1997 Orlando Sentinel  obituary article for Joseph J. Cangelose detailing his service to the Orlando community and to our country.

Cangelose served as staff sergeant at  Orlando’s Army Air Base at Primrose and Robinson Street, worked as an accountant at the Orlando Air Force Base,  as Supervisory Auditor at the Naval Training Center, was a veteran of WWII and served  with the Air Force in both Korea and Vietnam.

Orlando resident, Betty Cangelose Wheeler, recalls having to wait to meet her father because  he stayed on  in  France after WWII  administering pay to  military personnel  going  home  to the United States.
