“Harriet, Henrietta and Orlando’s School for Girls”, An Orlando Remembered Presentation by Historian Richard Cronin, March 2021

 In honor of Women’s History Month, Historian Richard Cronin elucidates  the local history documenting how the founders of Orlando felt educating women to be very important.

Listen as Author Richard Cronin presents Harriet, Henrietta, and Orlando’s School for Girls” at the Orlando Remembered meeting March 17, 2021, hosted by the Orange County Library System.

 

 

Richard Cronin is the author of numerous books on Florida history, including First Road to Orlando: the Mellonville to Orlando Road, Orlando Lakes: Homesteaders & Namesakes, and many more.

The Orlando Remembered organization, established in 1982, is dedicated to preserving the memories of Orlando’s vanishing landmarks and the contributions of Orlandoans, past and present.
