Mrs. Elizabeth R. Harmening, 41, of 1031 Palmer Ave., Winter Park, died Sunday. A teacher at Cheney Elementary School for the past five years, Mrs. Harmening moved to Winter Park seven years ago from Clearwater. She was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and had lived in Florida 13 years. She received her bachelor’s degree cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and her master’s degree magna cum laude from the University of South Florida. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta, Alpha Delta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi sororities and served on the Board of Christian Education of the First Congregational Church of Winter Park. Survivors: husband, William A.; daughter, Deborah Jane; son, William A. II; and mother, Mrs. Bliss Bishoff, all of Winter Park. Cox Parker Funeral Home.
HARMENING, MRS. ELIZASBETH REDMAN – Memorial services for Mrs. Elizabeth R. Harmening, 41, 1031 Palmer Ave., Winter Park, who died Sunday, will be held Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the 1st Congregational Church of Winter Park with Dr. Malcolm Matheson, Dr. John W. Myers and Reverend Larry Huntley officiating. Mrs. Harmening was born in Pittsburg, Pa. Florida has been her home for thirteen years, with the past six having been spent in Winter Park. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Winter Park where she served on the Board of Christian Education. She received her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, her masters degree, meana cum laude, from the University of South Florida, and she was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta; Alpha, Delta, Kappa, and Kappa Delta PI sororities. She had taught at Cheney Elementary School for the past five years. She is survived by husband: William A., daughter: Deborah Jane; son: William A, andd mother: Mrs. B___ Bishoff, Winter Park.
