DOWN TO EARTH: Pulling a ripcord and pushing a launch button really aren’t very different. In both cases lives are at stake. And in both cases the product must perform the way it was intended. The Zero Defects Program started at the Martin Company Orlando as noted in Lockheed Martin’s Zero Defects story: “that a far-reaching and influential program would be born: Zero Defects, the granddaddy of nearly every quality control program in the world.”
