Princess Bryanna’s Magical Day

Bryanna in Snow White Costume. Bryanna liked the Snow White costume and wanted to wear it all night. She decided that if she was Snow White she needed all the little woodland animals that she met after she escaped from the hunter. We gathered all the plants in the house and stuffed animals so princess Snow White could get a photo. She finally changed out of the costume and went to sleep to prepare for her big day at the Magic Kingdom!

Monorail PinkSince Bryanna’s magical day started like any other Sunday, we got up, got breakfast, and went to Church. Bryanna was very good in Church. She bowed her head, closed her eyes, and folded her hands when the Priest said, “Let us pray.” She sang the prayers and the songs when we told her the words. She even sat quietly when two people got up to talk at the end of Mass (boring).

On the way to Disney World Princess Bryanna said she did not like the Monorail or the boat. She wanted to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom. Miss Kim told Bryanna that when a princess wants to ride the Monorail, the Monorail helpers let her ride up in the front with the Monorail driver.

Riding with the engineer on the monorail Bryanna decided she would like to ride up front where the princesses ride, so we told the helper and he said, “Sure.” We were waiting and another family got to go first, but guess what? The next monorail was Monorail PINK—just the one she wanted. The helper gave Bryanna a Monorail PINK card and let us get into the front of the Monorail! Bryanna said, “Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness!” The driver was very nice and he gave each of us Monorail Co-Pilot cards.

Bryanna got a Disney stroller and we put a sign on it that said, “Bryanna’s Buggy.” A Disney lady came over to Bryanna and said, “Hello, Princess. Would you like some stickers?” Bryanna was surprised that the lady knew she was a Princess, but then she remembered that she was wearing her shirt that said, “Daddy’s Little Princess.”

Jiminy Cricket poses with Bryanna

We decided to go find a good spot to watch the parade, and who did we see? Jiminy Cricket right there on Main Street! Bryanna stood in line and gave Jiminy a big hug and kiss and he gave her a kiss back.

Dapper Dan's singing to us

We were walking down Main Street and the Dapper Dans Barbershop Quartet sang for us. They were funny. We decided we would see the parade in Adventure Land, so we went there, found a good spot and the parade began!

Baloo says hello

Robinhood shook Bryanna’s hand, Baloo hugged us and put his hand in front of Ashley’s camera! Everyone waved at Bryanna, even Snow White, and Belle, and Cinderella, and Ariel!

When the parade was over, we decided it was time for a ride! We headed to It’s a Small World but Bryanna said she did not like it and did not want to ride. Miss Kim asked her if she would try it just for her and Bryanna said, “Okay,” but she did not really want to go. Bryanna started to get very sad and scared, but we got on the ride anyway. When Bryanna saw all the beautiful dolls, she decided she DID LIKE Small World, after all. She liked the CanCan Girls, the children flying with their balloons, the hula girls, and the monkeys. She liked the Chinese children flying with their kites and the children at the end dressed in white and dancing together.

Next we had some lunch over by the Haunted Mansion. Bryanna liked the chicken and French fries and drank water and had some orange. The food was nice but the toilet in the bathroom made a really loud noise and splashed us!

At the Dumbo ride with Dumbo
We walked to the Carousel, but they were fixing it and we could not ride. We were standing by Dumbo trying to decide if the line was too long and a Disney lady said, “Hello Princess, would you like to be a Dumbo pilot for the day?” Bryanna said, “Sure.” The lady wanted to know if Bryanna just wanted to take Chris, but she wanted to take Ashley, too. The Disney lady gave Bryanna a special card and took Chris and Ashley to the front of the line to get a ride.

While they were waiting for their turn to ride, the lady asked Bryanna what color Dumbo she would like to ride. Bryanna told her, “PINK.” The Disney lady said, “That should be no problem, because you are going to be the first person through the gate.” Bryanna got her pink Dumbo and rode around and around with Ashley and Chris. Miss Kim shouted and waved each time they came around!

Next we went to Winnie the Pooh. The line was long. Bryanna wanted Ashley to hold her and ride with her in the front seat. The ride was bumpy, but we had a good time. When that ride was over, we took the buggy and headed for ToonTown.

In the Gazebo behind Minnie Mouse's house
Bryanna liked touching everything in Minnie Mouse’s house and was amazed that everything was glued down! Bryanna liked Minnie’s gazebo with the heart shapes and we took her picture. Bryanna went to Mickey’s house, too, but we heard the train a coming and went to the station so we could ride around the park. At first Bryanna did not know what to think of that train going clickety clack. We saw Pocahontas and alligators and pretend snakes in the woods.

We finally got back to the train station in Toon Town and Bryanna wanted to play in the play area, so Chris and Ashley went to ride the mountains and Miss Kim stayed to watch Bryanna. Bryanna ran in and out and up and down the slides. She danced around on the Gazebo stage and hid in the little house. She climbed in and out of the tree and slid down again and again. Finally, we headed back to Adventure Land but Bryanna wanted to see “It’s a Small World” AGAIN—so we did!

We got back into the buggy and we were almost by the Hall of Presidents when a Disney man named Neil said, “Hello Princess.” He asked if this was Bryanna’s first time at Disney. Miss Kim said it was not, but we were celebrating Bry’s birthday today since it would be too hot for her to come in July since Bryanna is a fair princess with red hair. Neil asked Bryanna if she had a birthday button, and he made her one with her name on it and gave her a special certificate. He also asked if she could have princess tattoos and we said, “Sure!” The Disney man asked if she would like to be sprinkled with Pixie Dust. Bryanna said, “Yes.”

Waving at Snow WhiteHe sprinkled her with purple, pink, teal and gold Pixie Dust. It was in Bryanna’s hair and buggy and on her clothes! He told her he was making her an Honorary Princess for the Day and gave Bryanna a sticker with a princess on it. Bryanna was very nice and thanked the Disney man several times and we started to leave. All of a sudden we  heard the Disney man shout from behind us, “Oh my goodness, I forgot the most important part!” We turned around and he told everyone around us in a loud voice that Bryanna was celebrating her birthday today and they should stop and help sing Happy Birthday. Everyone in the street stopped and they all sang! It was amazing! We thanked everyone again and went on our way.

Next Miss Kim took Bryanna to see the Country Bear Jamboree. Bryanna said she did not want to go. She did not think she would like the bears. Bryanna liked the little bear with the Teddy Bear that would go BEEP BEEP. She liked Melvin the moose, Buff the Buffalo, and Max the deer. She told them all goodbye. She also liked the girl bear that came out of the ceiling on the swing.

When we came out it started to rain so we got our umbrella and started looking for Ashley and Christopher because we had all the umbrellas! They found us, but the umbrellas did not do much good because Splash Mountain had already gotten them plenty wet! We decided to get dinner since it was raining and Bryanna wanted mac n cheese and milk and grapes and applesauce. The applesauce and grapes were her favorite and she ate them all up.
Electric Magic Parade
It was finally time to go get a spot for the Spectromagic Parade and Bryanna was starting to get tired. There was a man who worked at the Haunted Mansion carrying around a stick pony and making it talk to people. One boy said, “Why don’t you just giddy up and ride away?” The Haunted Mansion man said, “There is nothing to giddy up with. This is a horse head on a stick.” Miss Kim, Ashley and Chris laughed out loud. Bryanna wanted to pet the stick horse and the Haunted Mansion man let her.

Bryanna really liked the Spectromagic parade even though she was tired. The Little Mermaid float had Flounder, King Triton, and Ariel. Sebastian was even there singing “Under the Sea.” Bryanna waved at Cinderella and the prince waved back! There were ladies who looked like dragonflies and butterflies. Bryanna said they were the most beautiful dragonflies and butterflies she had ever seen. The parade was over at 9:45 and Bryanna was so tired. It was very crowded so we left the buggy in Adventure Land and found a spot near Cinderella’s Castle so we could see Tinkerbell. Bryanna said she did not like fireworks but we stayed anyway.

Fireworks over the Castle.Bryanna put her fingers in her ears but was very happy to see Tinkerbell flying through the air. Bryanna really liked the castle, too. She said that she would really like to stay there sometime. Bryanna did not like the boom boom boom noises from the fireworks. She wanted to leave, but we stayed. It was beautiful! One day Bryanna won’t be afraid of the big noises. Bryanna was sound asleep when we headed to the exit but woke up for a moment as we walked under the train station on Main Street.

There were Disney people waving goodbye to us with big Mickey Mouse gloves and someone yelled, “Goodbye Princess.” It was Neil, the Disney man who made everyone sing Happy Birthday to Bryanna and made her an honorary princess for the day! We all waved goodbye to Neil.

Bryanna fell fast asleep and Miss Kim’s arms got tired. Ashley carried Bryanna to the Monorail and we waited. The monorail helpers must have known we were there, because they sent Monorail Pink to carry Princess Bryanna back to the gate so she could begin her journey home. The little princess slept on the monorail, she slept on the tram ride to the parking lot, and she slept all the way home. She slept as we brought her into the house; she slept as we made her bed, and she slept all through the night, dreaming of being a princess in her land of imagination and fun – in the magical land  called  Disney.
