Betty Chandler

Please join us for Betty Chandler as we discuss her memories and thoughts.  She is a true Floridian who is a lifetime mentor and educator.

  • Being one of the first African-American librarian in Central Florida public schools
  • Working with the Albertson’s Public Library and Director Clara E. Wendel.
  • Working extensively at the Eccleston Elementary School
  • Dealing with the challenges of education and being a Librarian/Media Specialist
  • Giving back to the community by helping the needy and less fortunate
  • Church, God, and Faith
  • Rewarding students, educating parents, and establishing programs that motivate
