Community Relations, now Marketing and Public Relations, is located on the 3rd floor of the Orlando Public Library in downtown Orlando. The staff publish the monthly library publication Books and Beyond and all the signs, posters and bookmarks found throughout the Orange County Library System! They are manage the library’s social media, print, radio, and television presence! They also coordinate and promote art exhibits and special events throughout the library system. The department is also responsible for the Friends of the Library Book Store and Gift and Greetings store at the downtown Orlando Public Library.
In June 2008, the Community Relations staff included: Program Coordinators Amanda Maneiro, Rebeka Jacobs and Erika Torres, Community Relations Specialist Jimi Kunkel, Community Relations Aides Rachel Baker and Wendy Michel, Graphic Designer Ben Garcia, Retail Operations Assistant Jason Taningco, Community Outreach and Administrative Coordinator Sara Brown, Assistant Manager Christine Feierabend, Programs and Promotions Development Manager Kris Woodson and Public Relations Administrator Tracy Zampaglione.
