Interview with May Hartmyer Allen

Mrs. May Hartmyer Allen (2 parts) – A resident of Taft, Florida for much of her life, May Allen provides a description of Taft in 1912; tells us about transportation between Taft and Orlando; Orlando High School; operation of the Orange County Road and Bridge Department; and Taft church.  She was born on May 31, 1899.

This interview was conducted on April 30, 1975 for the Friends of the Orlando Public Library’s Oral History Committee.  We are grateful for the Orange County Regional History Center‘s making this recording available for Orlando Memory.
